Partnering to Accelerate Entrepreneurship (PACE)

Entrepreneurs in developing countries play a vital role in driving economic growth, creating jobs and advancing market-based solutions to development challenges. However, a gap exists between early stage enterprises and investors seeking to identify promising investments.

To spur the growth of promising entrepreneurial ventures across the developing world, USAID has launched the Partnering to Accelerate Entrepreneurship (PACE) initiative. Through PACE, USAID will invest up to $10 million over the next three years to identify, test and implement innovations that incubate early stage enterprises and accelerate the growth of the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Status of Current Proposals

USAID issued an addendum to the Global Development Alliance Annual Program Statement calling for partnership concept notes. The current window for concept papers has closed. We received over 100 concept papers from a wide variety of organizations. Subject to availability of funds, USAID intends to re-open this call for concept papers under the current GDA APS later in 2014 and 2015.
