Overview

USAID’s Development Credit Authority (DCA) guarantee program, established by Congress in 1999, unlocks private, local capital to support lending in critical growth sectors.  Since 2004, USAID/Haiti has supported the provision of financial products and services to underserved and out-of-reach households and enterprises through DCA partial credit guarantees.

Opportunity Banka Srbija (OBS) je lokalna banka koja nudi mikro, poljoprivredne i kredite malim i srednjim preduzećima i to klijentima koji obično nemaju pristup finansijskim uslugama tradicionalnih banaka. Klijenti su obično iz polu-urbanih i ruralnih oblasti Srbije. Banka se specijalizovala za kredite domaćinstvima i poljoprivrednom sektoru.

BACKGROUND

Opportunity Bank Serbia (OBS) is a community bank that provides micro, rural, agro and small and medium-enterprise (SME) lending to clients that cannot ordinarily access financial services from traditional banks.  Clients are typically from semi-urban and rural areas of Serbia.  The bank specializes in loans to dual-income cottage industries and the agricultural sector.

ICT Hub je dvogodišnji projekat koji radi na unapređenju radne snage, koji je nastao udruživanjem snaga dve uspešnije kompanije iz Srbije i USAID-a, sa ciljem identifikovanja i podržavanja inovativnih ideja u IT industriji pružanjem tehničke podrške novim preduzetnicima i kompanijama da svoje ideje razviju u izvodljive projekte.  

BACKGROUND

The ICT Hub is a two-year workforce development project, created through and alliance between two successful Serbian companies and USAID, with the objective of identifying and supporting innovative IT concepts by providing technical support to budding entrepreneurs and companies to develop their ideas into feasible projects.
