USAID is dedicated to documenting transparently how money spent leads to results achieved.
To that end, the Agency is currently in the process of developing a visual presentation linking investments to impact.
Here is a preview of our efforts. It is a visual snapshot showing how we used $27.5 million for specific preventive, diagnostic, and treatment activities to combat malaria in Ghana in 2011.
$76.9 million in Ghana > $42 million on HEALTH > $27.5 million on Malaria
- 185,340 houses were sprayed with Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS)
- 25,801 people were trained in malaria treatment or prevention
- 2,315,244 Insecticide Treated Nets (ITN) were distributed or sold.
- 725,000 Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDT) were purchased and distributed
