Status of the Leland Initiative in Tanzania

	Policy Review (Objective 1): Survey completed. Recommendations presented to USAID/Tanzania.
	Technical Review (Objective 2): Survey completed. Recommendations presented to USAID/Tanzania.
	Internet Applications Review (Objective 3): Internet assessment and applications review completed. Internet training for USAID's partners was held in April 1999; 122 key USAID partners trained on using the Internet for development. A follow-up "Train-the-Trainer" Internet session was held at the COSTECH facilities in November, 1999.
