The following announcement is provided as a service to the general public and the PT&T of Benin, the Office des Postes et Telecommunications ("OPT").
The U.S. Agency for International Development ("USAID") would like to announce that the OPT has upgraded their national Internet gateway through assistance from USAID's Leland Initiative and is now accepting new, private sector Internet Service Providers ("ISPs") to be connected to the gateway.
No USAID financial or material assistance is being made available to private sector firms which qualify to function as an ISP in Benin; nor is USAID a party to any aspect of the relationship between Benin's OPT and qualified ISP firms.
