This document reflects a synthesis of ideas from the USAID New Partnerships Initiative (NPI) Resource Guide and work by Dr. Steve Waddell, director of intersectoral services at the Institute for Development Research. Dr. Waddell's in-depth analysis of intersectoral partnering in the USAID context is forthcoming.
