U.S. Government Provides $2.8 Million in Emergency Relief Funding for Lebanon

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The United States Government, through the Agency for International Development (USAID), has provided more than $2.8 million to the non-governmental organization Catholic Relief Services (CRS) for emergency relief activities in Lebanon.
CRS will use the money to provide water and sanitation services, psychosocial support for affected youth, emergency shelter activities and distribution of food and relief supplies.
To date, the U.S. Government has pledged $30 million, of which more than $20 million has been allocated for emergency relief supplies, transportation, and other relief activities.
