USAID Hosts Series of Public Briefings on Iraq Development Activities

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will hold a series of one-hour briefings focusing on its development activities in Iraq, beginning Thursday, December 13. The series will consist of a general overview of USAID's work in Iraq, including the agency's role on Provincial Reconstruction Teams, and introductions to its two major sector initiatives-Economic Growth & Agriculture and Democracy & Governance.

Each presentation will emphasize major programs and activities over the past year and include a Q&A period. The briefings, which are open to the public, will take place in the USAID Knowledge Services Center, Room M-17, located on the mezzanine level of the Ronald Reagan Building, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave, NW, Washington, DC. All attendees must present valid, government-issued identification for entry into the Reagan Building.
The American people, through the U.S. Agency for International Development, have provided economic and humanitarian assistance worldwide for nearly 50 years.
