ADS 157 - USAID Volunteer Activities Policy

ADS 157, USAID Volunteer Activities Policy, is a new chapter that describes the policy directives and required procedures for volunteer and pro bono activities. Specifically, it addresses whether an employee’s volunteer activities present a conflict of interest with his or her work and when an employee may use government resources to support his or her volunteer activity.

ADS Chapter 577 has been revised in its entirety. New material reflects the re-organization within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (M/OCIO); a rewrite of paragraph 577.3.4 to include the use of the Project Identification Document (PID) used in the scoring and ranking of IT investments; a rewrite of paragraph 577.3.4.2 which permits the ITSS or Working Group to score investments and submit a proposed ranking of investments to the ITSS larger group; and changes to Table 3, ITSS Decision Criteria, which now focuses on core themes of Clinger-Cohen Act business objectives
