We had close to 90 submissions from all over the world, representing numerous partnerships and multiple sectors. We chose seven Grand Prize winners who have brought the full potential of technological creativity to bear on a wide range of development challenges and are models for how science and technology can be harnessed to improve lives.  These innovations are excellent illustrations of USAID’s commitment to ending extreme poverty and they show great promise for solving some of the world’s most intractable challenges.
