Poster of the public service announcement featuring Warner Brothers characters Bugs Bunny; Daffy Duck; and Rith, a Colombian boy who has lost his leg to a landmine.

Source: Warner Brothers

USAID and the Department of State have teamed with Warner Brothers to create a poster and public service announcement promoting mine awareness through the use of cartoon characters. Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck talk to their friend, Rith, a fictional Colombian boy who has lost a leg in a landmine accident. Bugs, Daffy, and Rith caution children about the dangers of handling unexploded mines and stress the importance of accepting people with disabilities.
