US Food Aid

The Public Law (P.L.) 480 food aid program is comprised of three titles. Each title has different objectives and provides agricultural assistance to countries at different levels of economic development. Title I of the P.L. 480 program is administered by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), and Titles II and III are administered by the US Agency for International Development (USAID).

USAID's Regional Food for Peace Office for West Africa (USAID/RFFP)/Senegal is responsible for the oversight and management of USG Title II programs in West Africa. In fiscal year (FY) 2002, USAID/RFFP/Mali oversaw development and emergency programs in 14 countries with a total budget of $ 88.78 million.
