Income Generation
Food for Peace places great importance on incorporating income generation into its non-emergency programs. Cooperating sponsors are urged to develop programs that promote and sustain income generation through a variety of fields, most commonly agricultural endeavors. Income generation programs in the agricultural sector attempt to integrate small-scale farmers into the local economy by promoting quality control and product standards, improved access to markets and infrastructure development.
