Commodity Non-Available Determination

FY 2003, the following commodites have been determined NOT avaliable under P.L. 480:
 
Sunflower seed/oil, cottonsees/oil, peanuts, and apples

Cottonsees/oil

Peanuts/oil

Apples

FY 2003, the following commodities are available under all of P.L. 480 UP TO the following tonnages:

Corn/corn products
872,000 MTs

Sorghum
184,000 MTs

Soybeans/products
(not veg oils)
178,000 MTs

What does this mean for Title II?  The tonnages listed above are not a surprise, waived for urgent humanitarian purposes, and should cover most if not all of our requirements for this fiscal year.  Our programs for non-human consumption (animal feed) are not included under this waiver authority and can not be programmed.
