Behavior Change

USAID works to develop, implement, and monitor communications strategies designed to change high-risk behavior and use of family planning services. USAID's communications activities involve developing appropriate messages to reach targeted audiences as well as the general population. Through a combination of interpersonal and mass media approaches such as newspaper, radio, billboards, peer counseling, and community theater, USAID communications campaigns encourage positive changes in behavior.
