Country Snapshot: Bangladesh and Education

Photo of a Bangladeshi woman in a classroom surrounded by students.

USAID works with local communities and organizations to support the creation of more participatory, relevant and accountable learning systems. It develops effective and innovative learning tools through instructional mass media, and enhances school readiness and classroom performance through greater student enrollment (particularly of girls and adult women learners), retention and teacher-student contact.

Recent studies conducted on early childhood development and use of children and teachers’ time have revealed useful insights to inform the above activities.
