Country Snapshot: Benin and Health

USAID is addressing the transmission of HIV/AIDS with educational material, peer education for high-risk groups, and social marketing of condoms. Family planning and reproductive health services programs train health care professionals in case management and family health standards.

Programs in child survival and maternal health improve nutrition, and promote the appropriate and timely use of mosquito nets, oral re-hydration salts and condoms.
