This is the 19th quarterly report of the Anti-Trafficking Task Order (ATTO), covering April 1, 2009 - June 30, 2009. The ATTO supports USAID/Washington and field missions with technical assistance, supports the USAID Office of Women in Development (WID), and initiates pilot projects in selected missions. During the 19th quarter, accomplishments included completing a baseline assessment of trafficking in Namibia and beginning to assist with developing a training program for USAID officers in trafficking and gender-based violence.

This report examines the relative strengths and weaknesses of the Electoral Support Consortium (ESC), which was established to encourage voters in Namibia to participate in the elections and help these voters make informed voting decisions. Although the focus of this consultancy was to determine to what extent the ESC has been integrating gender mainstreaming and addressing disability and socially marginalized populations, this report, out of necessity, also gives an overview of the ESC and the Namibian social environment within which the ESC operates.

This document describes the administration, activities, and achievements of the the Initiative for Namibian Education Technology (iNET), which was implemented by the Education Development Center and the Academy for Educational Development. The document also includes eight project success stories and a monitoring and evaluation report. The project was developed to exploit the cross-sectoral benefits of ICTs in the education sector. Gender sensitivity in professional development and the improvement of women's professional opportunities were important priorities.
