This seminar addressed the various tools that can be used to assist with managing natural resources to reduce poverty and improve livelihoods in developing countries. Dan Tunstall and Norbert Henninger from the World Resources Institute spoke on poverty mapping. Gary Eilerts (USAID - Africa Sustainable Development Office) looked at Early Warning Systems as tools for addressing poverty and natural resources, and Tony Pryor from the International Resources Group discussed systems for managing information and knowledge on poverty and natural resource management.
