Counsel to the Inspector General

Lisa Goldfluss


Lisa Goldfluss was appointed the Legal Counsel at the U.S. Agency for International Development, Office of Inspector General (USAID/OIG) effective December 10, 2006. USAID is the federal agency that administers international economic and humanitarian assistance.

Prior to this appointment, Goldfluss served for the past 10 years as an Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia, practicing before the United States District Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Before that, she was a Trial Attorney at the Justice Department's Civil Division, trying cases throughout the United States. Goldfluss started her legal career with the law firm of Brown & Bain in Phoenix, Arizona.

Goldfluss received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and her law degree from Georgetown. Before law school, she worked on the Hill for the New York State Governor's office and served in varying capacities for New York City and State officials.
