United Nations General Assembly 2014
USAID at the 2014 UN General Assembly

From September 22-26, USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah and other Agency leaders will participate in several events taking place during and around the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Through our key events and participation at other development events, USAID will demonstrate innovation and results in our core work and spotlight how the Agency’s new model for development is doing business differently to achieve unprecedented progress.

USAID Side Events

Unlocking the Potential of Innovation - For and With the Most Marginalized: This high-level side event of the UN General Assembly meetings is for leaders of development agencies and multilaterals to discuss how to unlock the potential of innovation for and with the most marginalized and to share and showcase ideas on innovative ways of developing real-time information solutions--focusing on entrepreneurship and global scale.

The event will also showcase key innovation successes and announce new tools and approaches through two major new programs.
