The objective of the BELT project is to improve access to quality education services in Afghanistan. BELT will strengthen the management capacity of the Ministry of Education (MoE) to receive direct assistance and effectively deliver education services in the country. Project components will improve the quality of basic education through capacity building for the Ministry, teacher professional development, community-based education, textbook printing, and literacy and productive life skills for youth. BELT will be implemented in two components: project assistance and on-budget support.
