Living Hope Care (CHC),

Living hope care will work with 8 Community Health extension workers, 4 men and women. These 8 views will participate in a training, after which they will be certified service provides these 8 CHEW/CSPS will conduct outreach to women and men of reproductive age, as well as out-of-school youths, creating demand for family planning methods as well as increasing use of these methods, Living Hope Care will further collaborate wiht 12 service providers in schools and maternity centers. The 12 service providers will be trained to provide quality, gender sensitive care. They will equally create demand and increase use of modern family planning methods Center for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA)
Living Hope Care (LHC), Ilesha Living Hope Care collaborates with 10 Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs) who conduct outreach services to women and men of reproductive age, in- and out of -school youth, creating demand for family planning services as well as well as promoting dual methods. There are 5 male CHEWs who promote male involvement in family planning. There are 12 service providers in maternity centers, secondary and tertiary instituions who provide clinical and non -clinical methods to clients reached. Two supervisors supervise the CHEWs and service providers while a project coordinator oversees the the day to day management of the project and reports to the project director. Catholic Diocese of Osogbo / JDPM The goal of this project is to build the capacity of the Catholic congregation in Osogbo Diocese to effectively respond to HIV/AIDS scourge, by preventing its spread and caring for those already infected or affected by it. 1 - Counselling is ongoing at a counselling unit where people are taught the modes of transmision and prevention as well as assess individual's risk of contacting the virus. People are encouraged to make positive choices. 2 - Homebased Care and Support of PLWHA is being introduced. A support group has been set up due to more PLWHAs being identified by the counsellors. 3 - Advocacy visit - Opinion leaders in the community and church groups are visited to support HIV/AIDS activities in the church and community. 4 - IEC Material development and distribution - This includes information on key issues on HIV/AIDS to aid prevention and encourage care and support of PLWHA. 5 - Awareness talks and Campaigns targeted at different segments of the Church(the leaders men, women and youth) as well as selected leaders of other Christian denominations within the goegraphic coverage of the Diocese. 6 - Capacity building of project staff on program management and church members on HIV/AIDS issues Center for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA)
