WASHINGTON, D.C. – On May 16, 2013, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Rajiv Shah, Global Fund for AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria Executive Director Mark Dybul, Swedish Ambassador for Global Health Anders Nordstrom, and UN Foundation President Kathy Calvin will announce an unprecedented new partnership that will be able to facilitate the delivery of healthcare supplies around the world more quickly, broadly, and cheaply than ever before.
Materials that could be distributed faster through this public-private partnership and innovative financial mechanism include bednets, contraceptives, polio vaccines, and other life-saving treatments.
The announcement will occur at the GBC Health Conference’s Gala Reception. The speaking program will begin at 7:10 pm.
Media will have the opportunity for pull-aside interviews with principals as time allows.
