This initiative builds on the USAID supported Peaks to Coast Project and the High Mountain Adaptation Partnership. Through this new project, USAID will provide $3 million dollars to be matched from other sources through 2017. Other donors to The Mountain Institute’s work in the region include the McKnight Foundation, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, the National Geographic Society, the US Department of State and the Peruvian Government.
