أعلن وزير الخارجية جون كيري اليوم أن الولايات المتحدة ستقدم مساعدات إنسانية أميركية إضافية بقيمة 380 مليون دولار لمساعدة المتضررين من الحرب في سوريا. وبهذا التمويل الإضافي، تصل قيمة المساعدات الإنسانية المقدمة من الولايات المتحدة منذ بداية الأزمة إلى أكثر من 1.7 بليون دولار لمساعدة أولئك الذين يعانون داخل سوريا، وكذلك اللاجئين والمجتمعات المضيفة في البلدان المجاورة.
The objectives of TMT are to provide ongoing education and training, economic opportunities, and livelihoods. The project aims to 1) build economic and trade opportunities for Afghans through the economic, social, and cultural regeneration of Murad Khane, a traditional commercial and craft neighborhood in the center of Kabul’s Old City; 2) provide traditional craft education through the Institute for Afghan Arts and Architecture, and 3) develop the market of Afghan crafts domestically and abroad through business-development activities.
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), with the Government of Senegal and its other partners, help to create jobs, fight poverty, and increase food security in Senegal by improving the agricultural sector, natural resources management, trade, and in concert with the Health Office, nutrition – especially of women and children.
MIDAS focuses on three primary areas in the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum (MoMP): 1) legal and regulatory reform, 2) technical assistance to the MoMP, and 3) Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) development. Advocacy Training and Resource Center (ATRC)
USAID is partnering with ATRC for this dual-pronged program aimed at combating corruption and increasing transparency and fairness among justice sector institutions in Kosovo. ATRC is working with local non-governmental organizations to conduct court monitoring and implement a public outreach and awareness campaign to strengthen public trust in the justice system.
