Based in the Office of Health and Family Planning, the intern will rotate through all teams in the office to build on his/her existing knowledge in environmental health, family planning/reproductive health, health system strengthening, HIV/AIDS, maternal, newborn, and child health, nutrition, and public health emergency preparedness and response. For each rotation, the intern will work with a mentor and develop skills and abilities to manage programs and engage the Government of Nepal, other donors, civil society, and the private sector.

Call for Two Proposals on Mid Term Evaluation for USAID/Nepal’s Strengthen Political Parties, Electoral and Legislative Process (SPPELP) and Nepal Peace Support Project (NPSP)
Closing Date: February 28, 2013, 5:00 PM, Nepal Time
USAID/Nepal seeks the services of qualified organizations or individuals with expertise in monitoring and evaluating development projects to conduct mid-term evaluations (April-May 2013) for SPPELP operated by the Consortium of Elections and Political Processes Strengthening (CEPPS) and NPSP.
The evaluation team/s should tailor recommendations so that they can help in future programming for the Agency. The evaluation will provide direction that should improve achievement of results and also reduce the risk of unintended consequences. The evaluation team/s will also need to consider the external environment, project methodology, and the escalation of activities when assessing opportunities and threats. The focuses of the evaluations are defined by the evaluation questions in the Statements of Work (SOWs) for two separate evaluations.

The purpose of this contract is to develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) program for USAID/Nepal's Feed the Future (FTF) initiative and build the M&E capacity USAID/Nepal's host-country partners. The overall goals of the contract are to: (1) Accurately monitor, document, and evaluate the activities and results of the FTF Nepal initiative using quantitative and qualitative methods; and (2) Improve the ability of FTF Nepal prime and sub-awardee implementers to develop and carry out strong M&E processes.
