Food Security Day in Mozambique brought USAID’s Food for Peace partners together to show their programs on August 27. Approximately 100 people attended the 45 minute presentation, which was delivered by staff members implementing food security programs in Mozambique, and followed by a question and answer session and a reception. The audience included representatives from the Ministry of Health nutrition department, the National Technical Secretariat for Food Security and Nutrition (SETSAN), the National Disaster Management Institute (INGC), the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Mozambican stock exchange, USAID, CDC, US Embassy PAO, FEWS NET, WFP, UNICEF, Save the Children, ADRA, World Vision, Africare, Food for the Hungry, FANTA-2, Technoserve, IRD, and students from the polytechnical institutes.
