USAID Finances Rehabilitation of a Health Center in Sofala Province  

Mission Director Todd Amani, the Minister of Health Dr. Ivo Garrido, and other provincial government officials attended the opening ceremony of the Urban Health Center of Munhava.  The rehabilitation and expansion of the Munhava health center was initiated in May 2007 and finalized in October 2008.  The cost of the building was approximately $530,000 of which USAID/PEPFAR contributed $410,000 (79%) through a cooperative agreement with Health Alliance International (HAI).
