Post-graduate training includes 1 US, 5 third country and 8 in-country Master of Public Health degrees at the Universidade Eduardo Mondlane in Maputo, Mozambique.  Candidates receive language training mentoring and financial support to carry-out the thesis requirement of the degree programs.

Human resource training is fundamental for improvement in the quality of health services. As a contribution to this process, USAID, through FORTE Saúde assists in the provision of post-graduate academic training for key MOH personnel, curriculum review, training materials and refresher courses for trainers. FORTE Saúde also supports the management capacity strengthening for the nurses training institutions and supports two basic nurses’ courses in Nampula and one promotional in Zambezia.
