Survey of Informal Business Groups

IMPPACTS is developing a questionnaire for “transactional” informal business groups. The survey will give IMPPACTS a better insight as to how these business groups are formed around one-off transactions, how they interact and how some of them later become coops and companies. The survey will be conducted in late May and June.

Business Group Manual

IMPPACTS is working with Development Solutions (DS) to develop a revised manual for business group development. The manual includes information on group formation, benefits of working together, group management, selection of group leaders, and group accounting. The manual will be completed in late May.

Conference on coops and groups

Xac Bank’s franchise project has invited IMPPACTS to participate in a conference on June 5th for international NGOs working with coops and business groups.

Training of Trainers

IMPPACTS provided training to DS advisors on how to conduct trainings for coops on coop law, coop establishment, and coop management.

Amendments to the Law on Production and Service Cooperatives

The Working Group for this law did not meet this month.
