Project objective:
To manage destabilizing trends by strengthening the capacity of the private sector to contribute to peace building through increasing access to and community control over information pertinent to the overall education and development of the most isolated populations of Northern Mali (Gao, Kidal, Timbuktu).

Project key activities:
• Installation of 10 comprehensive community radio packages (radio stations, 2-way Codan radios, World Space receivers, televisions, satellite dishes, VCRs and reinforce selected existing stations
• Establish income-generating add-on technology to keep the radio stations effective and sustainable
• Strengthening 7 existing radio stations through improved technology and training
• Train selected community members to become managers, radio journalists and radio technicians
• Train local theater groups to develop peace and development messages for radio theater
• Establish listening clubs, encourage youth participation
