With the recovery of Moroccan independence, the shared focus was on the immediate humanitarian needs of the people and on the long-term human resource requirements of the nation. To meet the need for a trained cadre of Moroccans, more than 4,500 professionals were educated through partnerships between American universities and Moroccan institutions such as the Hassan II Agriculture School (IAV) in Rabat and the National School of Agriculture (ENA) in Meknes. This professional and technical expertise has served the Moroccan people ever since.
