Kebkabiya water pump line containers: IDPs in Kebkabiya in North Darfur queue for water. Even during peaceful times, water can be scarce for people living in the harsh environment of Darfur. The GOS and GOS-supported Jingaweit militias have destroyed irrigation systems and wells used for drinking water. As people have fled attacks and collected in high concentrations, the pressure has increased for limited water resources.
