Public School Receives New Computer Laboratory

Within the context of the LEAD (Lebanon Education Assistance for Development) program, USAID funded the establishment of a brand new computer laboratory at a public school in Jbeil that will benefit more than 300 students enrolled at the school. Implemented by the International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) and the Cooperative Housing Foundation(CHF), the LEAD program aims to: 1) Carry out minor repair works to enhance the physical capabilities of public schools 2) Provide school equipment such as science laboratory equipment, classroom equipment and computer laboratories 3) Implement awareness programs on health, nutrition and social awareness for a better learning environment 4) Conduct extracurricular activities to enhance the students’ skills and learning experience. As a result of the program, more than 85,000 students at 283 public schools throughout Lebanon will benefit from an improved educational environment.
