USAID is seeking applications from qualified locally registered Kosovo non-government organization (NGOs) for a Cooperative Agreement to fund new program entitled “Advancing Kosovo Together- Local Solutions”. USAID encourages applicants to propose creative collaborative partnerships with other Local Civil Society organizational, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, business and professional associations and other community organizations to implement activities under this program.

U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo Tracey Ann Jacobson, USAID/Kosovo Mission Director Maureen A. Shauket and President of the Republic of Kosovo Atifete Jahjaga today signed a bilateral Development Objective Grant Agreement between the two governments.

USAID Mission Director Maureen A. Shauket presented “Junior Oscars” Awards to young Kosovar film-makers at a ceremony on Friday December 6, 2013. The third annual “Junior Oscars” competition  was held amongst 50 schools across Kosovo.  Today’s Award Ceremony attracted 200 students at the ODA Theater. The ceremony also included a screening the winning movies.

A tree planting and plaque unveiling ceremony marked the inauguration of the newly rehabilitated court in Dragash/Dragas. The event also included a lively discussion on the importance of the region’s environmental protection and its role in the general welfare of the area’s population.

Pristina, October 31, 2013.  Berries and salads are among the top foods against cancer. In recognition of the October Breast Cancer Awareness Month, USAID/Kosovo on October 31 delivered these healthy locally produced fruits and vegetables known as anti-oxidants to the patients of the Pristina Oncology Institute.  USAID used this opportunity to help stress the importance of good nutrition practices in the fight against breast cancer.
