2009 Seminar Series

The seminar series provide a forum for presentations and panel discussions that allow participants to explore special international development topics in performance, implementation, measurement and evaluation, policy, management, and business operations.

2009 Spring Seminar: “Sustainable Economic Recovery in Conflict-Affected Environments” focused on best practices and lessons learned from enterprise development initiative case studies in 13 conflict-affected countries.

2009 Fall Seminar: "The Untold Impact of Chronic Disease on Young Women and Mothers" focused on the impact of chronic disease on young women and mothers in developing countries, using the example from the recent Reproductive Age Mortality Survey (RAMOS) in the Republic of Georgia, which finds that breast cancer is the single leading underlying cause of death for women aged 15-49.
