Overview of Services


Controller’s Office is currently one of the seven components of USAID / Kenya Mission departments. Its primary responsibility is to establish and maintain sound financial management practices which advance USAID / Kenya mission’s goals and objectives

  • Ensure timely collection and dissemination of accurate financial information. 
  • Provide advisory and analytical services to USAID/K management, partners and other constituents efficiently and in accordance with the US Government regulations and guidelines
  • Participates in the development, implementation, and monitoring of USAID Kenya projects and programs.
  • Reviews recipient’s financial management system’s and makes recommendations to ensure full compliance with USAID/K requirements
  • Supervises USAID/K audits for various projects and programs.
  • Conducts periodic financial reviews for recipients below the $300,000 audit threshold.
  • Installs and maintains an accounting and financial reporting system which provides the management with information necessary to make operating decisions.
  • Budgets and controls USAID / Kenya funds
  • The Controller certifies all the project payments for USAID/Kenya.
