Uday Sonawane at the drop-in-centre of Humsafar Trust in Vakola, Mumbai. He is HIV+ and works as a counselor motivating positive people to access treatment. Uday has been trained as a research investigator and recently completed a research project that studies the level of stigma and discrimination faced by HIV+ men who have sex with men and trans-sexuals in India.
