U.S. Government, Business to participate in Nov 10-13 Climate technology Bazaar

NEW DELHI -- Dr. Harlan L. Watson, U.S. Department of State Special Representative and Senior Climate Negotiator, will lead a multi-agency American delegation to New Delhi from November 10-13 to participate in a Climate Technology Bazaar and climate change workshops.
The Technology Bazaar, held in association with the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), will showcase state-of-the-art climate-friendly technologies from developed and developing countries. About 120 international and national exhibitors, and over 5000 visitors are expected to participate in the four-day exhibition.
During the same period the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will hold two workshops on adaptation. Adaptation refers to any adjustment that can respond to anticipated or actual consequences associated with climate change.
Department of Energy Assistant Secretary David K. Garman will be the keynote speaker at the U.S. presentation on U.S.-India initiatives in Clean Energy Technology. Other U.S. agencies participating include the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Department of Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Foreign Commercial Service of the Department of Commerce. Two U.S. firms, General Electric Wind Energy and UOP will demonstrate technologies at the Climate Technology Bazaar.
