Environmental Compliance and Enforcement Training Begins in Vadodara

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in partnership with the Gujarat Pollution Control Board and the U.S. Asian Environmental Partnership will conduct a train the trainer program on environmental compliance and enforcement in Vadodara, Gujarat from January 21 - 24th.
The program is the basis for a strategic plan of capacity building for 20 to 25 inspectors in environmental enforcement. Representatives from pollution control boards in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Delhi will participate in the program. Part of the training will include a practical on-site session in a chemical manufacturing facility in Vadodara.
The program is a part of EPA's environmental cooperation with India's Ministry of Environment and Forests (MOEF), and is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
