Medical Association Honors USAID Child Specialist

The Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine today awarded Honorary Fellowship to child specialist and pediatrician Dr. Rajiv Tandon.
Dr. Tandon, a senior advisor on child survival with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in India, received the award for his contributions to the development and promotion of preventive and social medicine in the field of maternal, new-born and child health.
The fellowship was presented to Dr. Tandon by Cecilio Adorna, Country Director, UNICEF, and Samli Plianbangchang, Director, South East Asia Regional Office, World Health Organization, at the 34th national conference of the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine in New Delhi. Dr. P. Venugpoal, director of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, presided at the function.
