Employment Opportunities

Periodically, USAID/Honduras recruits local positions. Announcements of available positions are posted in the local newspapers and on this webpage for approximately two weeks. Minimum qualifications vary according to the position and are specified in the vacancy announcement.

Applications are screened to ensure that basic qualifications are met. Following the screening, selected applicants are requested to take English and other pertinent occupational tests. Qualified applicants are then invited for a personal interview with a selection panel. Candidates are evaluated on their academic credentials, related professional experience, technical knowledge, interpersonal skills, and relevant skills.

Upon completion of all the interviews, final selections are made and pre-employment procedures are initiated for selected candidates. The complete recruitment process, which includes a medical and security clearance, can take up to three months.
