U.S.Government provides $2.75 million to Guinea

On June 24, U.S. and Guinean Government Officials signed a $ 2.75 million agreement. U.S. DCM Kent Brokenshire stressed the need for democratic reforms in Guinea. Following the signing ceremony,U.S. DCM Kent Brokenshire, the Minister of the Cooperation and African Integration Djenabou Saifon Diallo, and Minister of Territorial Administration and Political Affairs Frederick Kolie’ toasted international cooperation. On June 24, U.S. and Guinean Government Officials signed a $ 2.75 million agreement.
The U.S. will fund humanitarian and democracy projects.
U.S. DCM Kent Brokenshire stressed the need for democratic reforms in Guinea. Following the signing ceremony,U.S. DCM Kent Brokenshire, the Minister of the Cooperation and African Integration Djenabou Saifon Diallo, and Minister of Territorial Administration and Political Affairs Frederick Kolie’ toasted international cooperation.

U.S. DCM Kent Brokenshire with USAID Mission Acting Director Greg Booth discussed Guinea’s transition with the President of CENI Ben Sekou Sylla. Chief of the America Section in the Ministry of Cooperation and African Integration Alpha Soumah greets the U.S. team prior to the signing ceremony. Mr. Brokenshire and the Minister Diallo signed the assistance agreement in which the U.S. Government through USAID will provide $2,750.000.
