Acting USAID Administrator visits USAID-supported sites

The Acting USAID Administrator, Henrietta Holsman Fore, has visited two USAID-supported project sites in La, a suburb of Accra. The visit took her to the Veterinary Services Department and the La General Hospital. Story July 17, 2007
USAID donates medical equipment to Ministry of Health
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) donated medical equipment consisting of solar vaccine refrigerators, sterilizers and stethoscopes to the Ministry of Health. The equipment valued at approximately US$460,000 will help provide quality primary health care to rural communities. Story March 30, 2007
USAID replenishes national stock of condoms
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) presented to the Ministry of Health 1.8 million condoms. This represents the first consignment of a 21 million condom donation to replenish the Ministry's national stock over a one year period. Story March 26, 2007
Chicago State University distributes materials to primary schools in Ghana
Teaching and Learning Materials Program distribution launch is part of the larger Africa Education Initiative which was launched by President Bush in June 2002. The program seeks to support the effort of the Government of Ghana and other African governments to enhance access to schooling and to improve the quality of basic education.
