The program’s goals are accomplished through empowering municipal administration and assemblies, increasing citizens’ engagement on issues that directly affect them, improving municipal service
delivery, providing coaching and on-the-job training in public management, and awarding grants to communities for public infrastructure improvements.

Question: What makes a city a nice place to live? Answer: Parks and green spaces, cleanliness, good public safety, and lots of civic activism. You’ll find all of those features in Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje, thanks to strong municipal leadership and support from USAID. Local officials have made the creation of a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for their Kosovo Albanian, Kosovo Serb, and Roma citizens a top priority.

If you’re interested in starting or expanding your own business, this is something you should know – USAID’s Young Entrepreneurs Program is sponsoring a special event on a Monday evening once a month to provide an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to exchange ideas, make contacts and get advice from business professionals. The event, which also is supported by Innovation Center Kosovo (ICK) and IPKO Hej!
