Notice to the Trade RE: US Flag Vessel Type

The purpose of this notice is to rescind the previous Notice to the Trade document called, "US Flag Vessel Type." USAID, DoT, and USDA have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding which now governs the issues that had been addressed in the "US Flag Vessel Type" document. You may read the complete MOU posted on MARAD's website here (pdf). Instructions on vessel type determination can be found in the Federal Register Vol. 74, No. 177 dated September 15, 2009.
