#ConservationIsDevelopment: USAID's New Biodiversity Policy

This video was created to illustrate USAID's vision of conserving biodiversity for sustainable long-term development, articulated in detail in the Agency's first-ever Biodiversity Policy. The Policy outlines two priorities: taking strategic actions to conserve the world's most important biodiversity, and integrating biodiversity and other sectors. One of the world's largest public funders of international biodiversity conservation, USAID will invest more than $210 million in 2014 to conserve nature in more than 50 countries, including an anticipated $40 million to combat wildlife trafficking. The Biodiversity Policy provides a blueprint for how USAID will conduct this important work to conserve nature and promote sustainable, resilient development.  Join the conversation #ConservationIsDevelopment
