An estimated 980,000 Azerbaijanis have tuned in to watch “Heroes of Azerbaijan,” a half-hour, bi-weekly program supported by USAID which focuses on people and organizations working to make a difference within their communities. The program was developed through USAID’s Media Advance Project by implementing partner International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) and was distributed to regional TV affiliates throughout Azerbaijan. The project also provided on-site media production training to 67 local affiliated journalists who contributed to the development of each episode.
