Luanda-Norte Development Partnership Accord Signed Today

Luanda - A public and private partnership accord aimed at promoting improved social services and opportunities for the economic growth of Angola's northeastern Luanda-Norte province will be signed today in Luanda.
The information is contained in a press note from the embassy of the United States of America to Angola, that states that the memorandum of understanding will be signed at 10:00 am by representatives of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and Lazare Kaplan International Company (LKI). The venue for the signing was not disclosed.
The document states that LKI will release at least USD 1.5 million over a period of three years, to be used in the aid to access to health care, education and credits for communities of the province.
The USAID, together with Lunda-Norte Government officials, will co-ordinate the programmatic plan, management and assistance to partnership supervision. The Lazare Kaplan International is a company specialized in high quality and jewelry diamonds.
It is a founding member of the US-Angola Chamber of Commerce and of the Corporative Council on Africa and operates in Angola since 1984. The USAID is a US Government agency that provides technical assistance for the implementation of economic development projects the world over.
